I went up with Mr Veach to this house, when we went in the house, we stopped inside about 15 minutes, when we went out there was a disturbance raised in the cornfield, we ran out and told the negroes to stop this noise, that if they wanted to enjoy themselves, to do so and not raise a fuss, then this negro ran up to Mr Veach, and asked him what he has to do with it? Mr Veach told him that he was an officer of this police, and he was in his own cornfield and that he did not want any disturbance there, Mr Veach drew his revolver, and said he would shoot him if he did not stop his noise, the negro said shoot you white livered son of a bitch.  I can shoot as often as you can, 2 or three of them then drew their revolvers(of the negroes) told Mr Veach if he shot, they would bring him next, and me and Mr Veach went off, and left them standing in the field, me and Mr Veach went back to the house then, and told the lady of the house, that if she did not stop the fuss, we would have to send for the guard, then me and Mr Veach came on to the Fort for the guard, I went with the guard and surrounded the house with guard, and ordered them to come out and lay their
