On or before the 1st day of Jan 1869 we or either of us promise and bind ourselves, our heirs, assigns, administrators, executors etc to pay to Mrs Ann J Tracy the just and full sum of two hundred dollars for rent for Rockhill Mill property for the year 1868.  We also bind ourselves, our heirs, our assigns, administrators executors &c to keep in thorough repair at our own expense the pitgearing, waterwheel, forebay, to put in a new shaft if necessary (the owner of the property to pay for the tree) all other expenses to be paid by us, to keep the mill dam free from all leaks and the race free from obstructions
