Colonel: -

I have the honor to report; that on the complaint of Daniel Jeter (Cold) I have had James T. Noell a Magistrate, and Walker Freeman, (both of Bedford County Virginia), Arrested, and brought before me, and on the satisfactory evidence adduced, I bound each of them over, for their further appearance, in the sum of a thousand ($1000.) Dollars, to answer to the charge of violation of General Orders No 2, C.S, and the 5th section of the Act of Congress therein cited.

On November 16th. 1867, the said Daniel Jeter (Cold) was arrested on the charge of stealing a quantity of wheat, (from Thomas M. Falls,) and taken before the said James T. Noell, for trial.  After hearing
