I respectfully ask the restoration to me B.C. Mason of certain tracts or parcels of land situated in Loudoun County Va, which were libeled and proceeded against in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia as the property of Francis Mason, and who subsequently transferred to and placed under the control of the Freedmen's Bureau - These tracts or parcels of land are the property of Mrs. B.C. Mason, they do not now, nor have they ever belonged to the said Francis Mason, one or more of them to be acquired by Mrs. Mason by purchase, and the others were denied to her by her late husband Judge Thomson F. Mason, by his will admitted to probate in Feb 1839 - A certified copy of this will, and the certificate of the Clerk of the County Court of Loudoun as to the ownership of the property as appears by the records of the Court. are filed with & accompany this application.
