Norfolk Va. July 26, 1867
Respectfully referred to Brvt Brig Genl Orlando Brown Asst Com State of Va, - Approved. After careful investigation, I am satisfied that the property borne upon the Return of Abandoned Lands in this Sub Dist as formerly owned by Wm Parks is the property of Patrick Parks, for the restoration of which the within application is made, as the description of the latter agrees in everything but the first name of the owner with that of the former, being situated on King St Portsmouth; having been at one time in the possession of the Treasury Agent and never formally restored, & having been at one time occupied by Anna Wilson. I would therefore respectfully recommend that the property be restored and that I be authorized to drop from the Return, the property described as formerly owned by Wm Parks. The property in question can be restored without detriment to the interests of the Bureau.
