In compliance with Circular No 16 of August 17th 1867, I have the honor to report that I met the board of overseers of poor for this county on the 2nd inst; that the matter of providing "for the care of all indigent persons in the county without regard to race or color" was properly brought before them.
   
The result of the meeting is that they will receive in their Alms House all who may be residing in the county, and all who may have resided in the county and who reside elsewhere.
   
The intention of the authorities is to send
