Returns communication of Capt. Mallery relative to bringing claim of John Crittenden V. Jas M. Harris for recovery of a bond before Civil Courts. States that he can find no evidence to substantiate Crittendens statement, nor can any witness be produced to prove that he bought himself. In his opinion Crittenden would not be able to recover anything before Civil Courts, as he can prove nothing. Encloses statements from both parties and certificates from others for consideration and further instructions before taking steps toward making costs.
