and said he wished me to examine his arm I done so but was unable to find any lead and was exceedingly doubtfull if he had been shot so much so that I asked him if he was sure that he had been shot upon his arm and hand there were several small punctures which I cut down to the bottom of but could not find any trace of lead.

After being duly sworn said I work for Mr. Deal and James Wilson drew his rations every day and he became dissatisfied with them and commenced cursing about them. Saw Mrs. Deal was [[?]]and the rations he said there were not enough meat and that he wouldn't look upon such rations Mrs Deal was standing in the basement door and he stood in the kitchen door the distance being about 3 feet and he kep cursing about the rations and said he had been cheated out of them said he be damd if there was meat or meat enough.
