I am directed to say that, without doubt, about Five hundred (500) Cords of wood will be required in Richmond, the coming winter - This will have to be furnished from your District - would it not be well to let the Schooner Planter bring it up when she has nothing else to do? The Superintendent of the District of Henrico County will receipt to you for it.-

Ellett having shown satisfactory evidence of his pardon, Officers of this Bureau will not in any manner interfere with his property, except so far as may be necessary to secure to the Freedmen their rights under Circular No 3. War Department, Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, &c. dated at Washington, D.C. May 22 1865.-
