I am directed by Maj. Genl O.O. Howard to enclose papers in the case of Mr W.H. Hunt- A telegraphic order was sent to Capt. Johnson, on the 20th of Sept. to cancel the lease of the property referred to. This order was sent prior, to the settlement of the course of the Bureau, in such cases: and if it has not been carried into effect, is thereby revoked and Mr Hunts lease will be respected, as are all others made in good faith
