I am directed by the Asst. Commissioner to enclose R.R. Ticket for transportation of William Shaw, requested in your letter of June 11th-
The transportation requested in same letter for Ann - a freedwoman Sick & Destitute, from Madison C. H. Va. to Gordonsville to the Hospital, cannot be furnished by the Q.M. Dept.- If the case is urgent, you will pay her transportation from Bureau funds, making out proper vouchers.

I am directed by the Asst. Commissioners to return herewith the applications for U.S. Bounty &c. of the following named men, received in communication of Lieut. H.S. Merrell, late Supt. dated June 5th for reasons hereafter stated - viz:
John T. Delaney - Witnesses to mark required - (When a person makes his mark - two written signatures are required to witness it.)
Robert Johnson - Witnesses to mark required.
Henry McNae - Witnesses to mark required also claimants signature.-
James Harrison - witnesses to mark required.
Thomas Williams - witnesses to mark required.
The application of John Thompson received in above communication had been forwarded to Washington.
I would suggest that in the "Declarations" for bounty in which the P.O. address is simply given as Richmlnd Va. it be altered to "care - Supt. 3rd Dist. Bureau R.F. and A.L. Richmond Va.
