Push to completion the hospital now in process of erection at Yorktown, so that it may be used to shelter the freemen whom you remove until homes are found for them.

It is important that the people are provided with employment before the planting season commences, and that this work is at once entered upon. You will give your personal attention to it, visiting all the places where the freedmen are collected, and will spend as much time in the sub district as may be necessary to accomplish this work.
