Mr. F.K. Smith, late agent in charge of Matthews and Gloucester Cos, who resigned on May 1st, and was honorably discharged by order from these Hd Qrs, dated May 3rd 1867, is now applied for again by Genl. L.C. Armstrong, agent in charge 5th Sub. Dist., who states that the resignation was for personal reasons which have ceased. - This gentleman is well acquainted with the division and I respectfully recommend that he be appointed agent, with a salary of $100 per month, for the purpose of being reassigned to his former duty.
