The sanitary condition of the Colored people is in good Condition -

In the Male population of the Colored people in their Morals, and in their habits of intemperance this is a marked improvemnt, but in the female portion there is not that improvemnt which is desirable 

Schools. 
There are in this county Four Schools. Three of these under the charge and support of the Friends Society of New York. The other a private school under the charge of the Rev William O. Roby (a Colored Preacher) The usual number attending this school is Twenty five Arithmetic Grammar, Geography, Writing and reading are taught and the school appears in a flourishing condition

In the other Schools there is a genuine attendance of 134 Scholars, and are reputed in a flourishing condition

The Citizens are exerting themselves to build a new House which they have under way. And have made Application to the
