Appreciation to Friends of, and Contributors to, the work of NCAI
RESOLUTION NO. 23
WHEREAS, the National Congress of American Indians needs the support of other individuals and organizations to be effective; and
WHEREAS, the National Congress of American Indians has been fortunate in its friends who have so generously contributed funds and labor to help its cause; and 
WHEREAS, while these contributions have been important, the National Congress of American Indians has also enjoyed the more important contributions of the goodwill and moral support of its friends in carrying out its objectives and ideals, 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the the National Congress of American Indians in 13th Annual Conventions assembled, Salt Lake City, Utah, September 24 to 28, 1956, hereby extends its heartfelt appreciation and the sincere thanks
of all Indian people for our friends, for their many contributions so generously given, and for letting us occupy a place in their hearts, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the National Congress of American Indians shall continue to act for the best interests of the Indian people in such a manner so that we may deserve their most valued friendship and support, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be forwarded together with personal letter by the President to all our friends and supporters.
