XI. - The Committees shall furnish short papers or disquisitions upon their respective subjects, at each social meeting. The Chairman of each Committee may solicit papers from members of the Society, and collect, for her reports, valuable information from cultivated women, not members of Sorosis. XII.- A member intending to be absent from the meetings of the Society for six months, shall notify the Recording Secretary of her intention; but in default of such notification, the Corresponding Secretary shall inquire cause of absence. XIII. - If an officer of Sorosis, or a member of any Committee, be absent without excuse from three successive meetings, of which she has been duly notified, her place may be filled by the President and the concurring vote of the Society. XIV. - Fifteen members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. XV. - The Rules of Order as laid down in Cushing's Manual shall be the rules of Sorosis.
