Some weeks ago, I forwarded to you my claim against the Freedmen's Bureau, and have since learned through Major James Johnson of Fredericksburg that the papers had been sent to him for a report. He stated in his letter to me that he had made his report and returned, the papers to you. I did not learn from Major Johnson's letter the purport of his report. I am very much in want of the money that is justly due me, and plead that as my apology for troubling you with this Communication - Hoping that my case will receive your early and favorable attention,
