I expect to be in Richmond during the session of the Convention and will give you my reasons in full for what I request.  I dont think myself that there is any necessity for an agent her as we have active white Union men all over the County who will keep us posted.
   
I will as I have done give the colored people my special attention and as Comth [[Commonwealth]] attorney I will be able probably [[strikethrough]] be able [[/strikethrough]] to  protect them and their interests if not you or Col Lee will soon hear of it any how.  I will answer and attend to any communications you may address to me in the line of my business.  See Gov Wells if you have forgotten me.
