aat Richmond Va Augt 1st 1865. Dr De Lamater has held this position continuously from the date of assignment, above stated, until mustered out of the US Service. By a contract, or commission, from Maj'r Genl. O.O. Howard, Commr Bureau dated at Washington D.C. Oct 29th 1867 he was continued in the same position with the title of Surgeon in Chief of the Dist. Va. and still continues to occupy the same, under said contract or commission.
AA Surg D.R. Brower USA formerly  Asst Surg US Vols, and now under contract with the Bureau as a medical officer, and in charge of Howard Grove Hospital, was commissioned as A.Surg US Vols May 18th 1864. He was mustered out of the US Service Novr 10th 1865. Was ordered to report to Brig Genl O Brown Asst Comr Dist Va. Sept 19th 1865 - at the date of muster our Dr Brower was doing duty as Pvt Surgeon at Richmond Va, and was contracted with as a medical officer of the Bureau Novr 11th 1865.
