Sir I have the honor to make the following report in the case of Laura Farmer the person referred to by Stimpson Farmer Laura formerly lived with a relative of hers, who died leaving a small amount of property which Laura expected to get but the legal heirs refused to let her have any of said property, and Laura being excited on the subject of religion and not wanting to labor in the field as said Stimpson Farmer wanted her to do, she became insane, refusing eat she left the said who lives some six miles from here, and came to Mr. Martin's where she worked last year ~ and finally went into the streets raving mad. I tried to get some of the colored people to take care of her
