Mr Thomas. P. Jackson
Sub Asst. Comr. 11th Sub Dist Va
Farmville Va

Sir
I have the honor to state that I have visited a Colored School at Keysville, I find (20) Twenty Pupils in attendance, and the Teacher (Mrs Lucie Jenkins) Says She intends to teach all through the winter, if the Colored people will only send the children and otherwise help to maintain her. I therefore recommend an appropriation of($5.00/100) Five dollars per month from the Bureau to be paid to her as rent for her School, the House being her own

Very Respectfully
Your obt Servt
