Commissioner directs that your attention be called to a communication from the British Minister, to the State Department relative to claim of John Ford for destruction of property in Prince Edwad County Va. by U.S. Troops, and which was referred to Capt. Barnes Supt &c May 17th 1866, for investigation and report, and that the same be returned with such report without further delay.
