I have the honor to request that an appropriation of Eight (8) dollars per month be allowed Mr Jas. E. Lazenby as rent for his building now used for freedmens school house to commence Nov 1st, 1868. This building was rented by the Bureau during the past session of schools. Mr. Lazenby is employed by the New York Branch American Freedmens Union Commission to teach and at the present time and since the first of October has had a school in this house which is situated at Emaus in this (Bedford) Co.
