Henry Pollard, being duly sworn, say that he knows Mr Latham and Bob Fletcher. That on Sunday evening (7th inst) he was sitting at his window, up stairs, and saw Mr Latham chase two or three boys up the alley. One of the boys was Bob Fletcher - As Mr Latham came up the alley he stopped and picked up a pine stick about 15 inches long 3 broad & 1 inch thick. I heard the blows of the stick after they got into the house; though I didn't see who struck them. I testified before Mr Atwell to all the facts herein mentioned, at the examination of M. Latham today - Bob Fletcher the injured boy, is a child but five years old, weakly, delicate, & small.
