The Office records of the Division have been kept as heretofore (since the muster out of Lt Murphy merged with those of the Sub Dist) in accordance with the manual.
The Officer in charge Bv't Maj J H Remington was mustered out of the Vet Res Corps on the 27th of August 1868 and reappointed an Officer of the Bureau on the 29th of August 1868.

1st The general condition of Freedmens affairs is good. The Freedmen have been industrious and many of them have secured good Crops

2nd In the administration of Civil Justice it still remains difficult for the Freedmen to secure impartial justice in cases where they are interested against whites

3rd The Marriage Register remains as at last report

4th The issue of Rations has been discontinued in this Division and it is believed that the
