Mr. J Hopkins

I recieved your exceptable gift by my husband and he told me all you said he told me that you said that it was only the rich people that carrys on the Schools a bout the towns for the poor [[?]] cotured [[/?]] children. So I though if you wouldve you could write to some of your rich friends and ask them if twas but the rags that they give the rag man that the seven from Motherless and Fatherless children that I have in my School. If you were to be so kind you could just drop me a few lines if it is not two much trouble. The least kind of old cloths clean or dirty.
