one hundred and fifty dollars, and one grey mare of the value of one hundred and fifty dollars, of the goods and chattels of William H. Grubb, and William C. Galloway, and one sorrell stud Colt of the value of one hundred and fifty dollars, of the goods and chattels of William H. Grubb, then and there being found, following did steal take and carry away against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

and at another day, to wit: at a Circuit Court continued, and held for the County aforesaid on Monday, the 22d day of October 1866. Landon T. Lovett, who stands jointly Indicted with Edward S. Wright and George Campbell for Horse Stealing, was set to the bar in custody of the Jailor of this Court, thereof arraigned and to the said Indictment pleaded not Guilty, and thereupon came a Jury to wit: William Beverley, William Fawley, Lewis W. Hann, Harrison Cooper, William J. Stone, Romulus Ferguson, William T. Saffer, Nelson Settle, John G. Presgraves, James H. Palmer D. B. James, and James Stuart, who being elected, tried and sworn of and upon the premises to speak, were with the consent of the prisoners committed to the Sheriff of this County who is directed to keep them together without communication with any other person, and to cause them to appear here to-morrow morning 9 O'clock. Whereupon an oath was administered to Thomas E Taylor and Somerfield Bolyn Deputy Sheriff for Samuel C Tuckett
