Major,
The reports of Officers and Agents in your District, issuing rations to destitutes during the month of February in a compliance with Pars 7 & 8 Bureau Officers Manual have not been received. It is suggested (as several errors have been made by Asst. Supts) that in making the Abstract (Form 63), They enter the number of lbs. of rations as invoiced by the A.C.S. - (alluded to in Par. 6) and see that the receipt of the parties issued to cover the amount of rations drawn from the Com: Dept.

It is not desirable to have any rations reported as on hand. Have you any Reports to make, if so send them in at once.

Yours Respectfully
(Sgd.) O. Brown

Captain,
The report of Capt. Ayers, Asst. Supt. under Pars. 7 and 8 Bureau Officers Manual, for the month of February appears to be incorrect - Lieut. Schreiner reports having issued 1072 rations of Pork - This would amount to 804 lbs. Capt. Ayers reports having received 800 lbs. In making out Form 63 - The amount of rations received should be taken from the invoice of the A.C.S. Please have the report corrected and returned as soon as possible - It is not desirable to have any rations reported as on hand.

Yours Respecty.
