I am directed by the Asst. Comr, to inform you, that in accordance with your request of the 23. inst, the appointment of Emil Kupfer, as a Clerk in this Bureau
has been revoked, to date Dec. 15th 1868, and that the salary of Henry Westerhoff, clerk in your office, has been increased, by authority contained in an endorsement of Nov. 24, 1868, War Dept. Bur. &c., from sixty to eighty doll. per month, to date from December 1st 1868.
