December 27th., 1937.

Dear Mr. Crowninshield,

I don't know whether I should be more grateful to you for the charming attention which prompted you to send me the lovely Christmas card, or for the perfectly executed reproduction which is itself a work of art!

Contrary to the "Judgment of Solomon," I will link both and convey one deep and sincere expression of appreciation.

I hope that you celebrated Christmas in a most pleasant fashion, and please accept my best wishes for 1938.

With renewed thanks and looking forward to seeing you soon again,

Pray believe me to be,

Most sincerely yours,

(Germain Séligmann)
