wrote me that she started a collection of Blanc de Chine. It really is too bad that I am not over there to start for her another vitrine with Sèvres porcelain.

I also had a long letter from Nyan Stevens who told me she missed you in Paris. Apparently the little girl has a very hectic time and I wonder whether you have caught up with her somewhere? I also wonder if Bill Taylor and Lucius Humphrey came to see you.

When do you, René and César expect to be back in the States?

You most likely read about the terrible slump in the stock market. Thank goodness it is better today.

I do hope you had a very pleasant summer and looked after your health a little bit more and gave yourself a good rest.

I am most anxiously looking forward to seeing you here and getting one of your pep-talks.
