Dear Mr. Séligmann:

MRS. DANFORTH - Paid the balance due of $750.

JACQUES FURST - I tried to get him on the telephone repeatedly without success. Finally I was able to speak to him at Charles of London, and he told me that Mr. Hearst definitely would make a payment either at the end of August or the beginning of September and that he will turn over Mr. Hearst's check to us.

MR. EDGAR - Bought 200 shares American Gas & Electric at 36-1/4.

Very faithfully yours,

O.A.Liechti

P.S. I just received a letter from Mr. Peck telling me to insure the three new Degas on our block policy which I am doing as per enclosed letter to Mr. Peck. For your information, I beg to tell you that I don't have to take out additional insurance with Lloyds, due to the sale of the Sisley, "Paysage", the Renoir, "Tambourin" and the Degas, "Helène Rouart".
