Dear Mr. Seligmann:

As chairman of the United Council for Civilian Relief in China I take pleasure in inviting you to attend a dinner marking the New York observance of China's Democracy Day at the Hotel Pierre, Tuesday evening, May 17th at eight-thirty o'clock.

The Hon. James W. Gerard will be the guest speaker of the occasion. I sincerely hope you will be able to join with other business men in this demonstration of America's humanity toward the millions of suffering Chinese civilians.

I am enclosing two tickets. Will you please phone your reservation to Murray Hill 3 - 9860 -- Ext. 15 as early as possible? If you should like to make up your own table we will be glad to accommodate you.
