Dear Mr. Séligmann:

I thank you for your letter of June 22nd.

Please note that the expenses for shipping the Manet and the Bonnard — which should by now have reached France — have been debited to Paris.

The "Danseuses Roses", the Fragonard painting and drawing, as well as the small Boucher are being forwarded on July 2nd per S. S. CHAMPLAIN. The reason for this delay is that Mr. Waegen insisted on keeping them here until he had heard from Mr. Hanna and he only gave me definite instructions to ship them on June 30th, making it impossible to ship them per S. S. NORMANDIE which left the day before. All charges for this shipment will also be debited to Paris.

SCHIFF — McKay Morant sent us two checks for L 15.-.- and L 45.-.- respectively, made out to the order of Mr. Schiff which I have forwarded to him under advice. This payment is in full settlement of the claim made against Lloyds.

GEORGES HAARDT — Miss Horowitz told me that she had a client living in Washington who is interested in a Primitive painting, mentioning that the picture must be of a certain size. As our French Primitive No. 6478 was more or less of the desired dimensions, I gave her a description together with the price which she will submit to that party.

I wish to congratulate you most heartily on the splendid success of the
