VASSAR COLLEGE

Oct. 25, 1942

My dear Mr. Seligman,

It certainly was a great pleasure to meet and talk with you Saturday morning. I do so appreciate your showing me your wonderful Degas' and giving me a focus for my thesis.

I went to the Metropolitan Saturday afternoon and discovered that they have 69 bronzes excluding the "Grande Danseuse", unfortunately all of these are tucked neatly away for the duration in some little bomb shelter.
