An examination of this case under the regulations* covering the control of persons entering the United States indicates that a favorable recommendation to the American consular officer concerned is not warranted at the present time. However, the case will be considered by the Interdepartmental Visa Review Committee at Washington and an opportunity will be given to interested individuals to appear in person or through an attorney or other intermediary before the Committee to make additional statements and answer possible questions.  Forms of Application for Appearance attached [[strikethrough]]at a hearing will be furnished an interested person by the Department of State upon receipt within 30 days of a request stating the names of the persons who desire to appear.[[/strikethrough].  To persons filing Applications for Appearance, notice of hearing will be sent at least 10 days in advance of the date set for the hearing.  If, on the other hand, it is desired that the case be considered without a hearing, it is requested that the Department be so advised.
