Dear Mr. Chance:

Let me start this letter by wishing you a most pleasant and successful New Year.

It is my intention to send you shortly a group of drawings and paintings which I count upon you to include in your best forthcoming auctions.

Would you be good enough to let me know whether there are any new regulations, Customs or otherwise, which I should be made aware of or shether [[whether]] the procedure we followed in the past is still in effect.

In view of the disappointing experiences we have had with your cataloguing department, may I be so bold as to ask that whatever references or pedigrees I will indicate regarding these different items will be carefully recorded in the catalogues.

For instance, I noticed in your sales catalogues just received, of February 5-6 "Pictures and Drawings", figures No. 147 - Georges ROUGET - "Le Sacre de Napoléon". I had specifically requested that the former owner, A. LEBLOND, Paris, who by the way was a former Museum official and a known collector, should be mentioned. It appears now as "A. LEBLAND", which obviously offers very little interest.

Looking forward to hearing further from you and with best regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
