Dear Mr. Roesler:

As you requested I take pleasure in sending you herein a pamphlet containing the photograph and the description of your drawing by LAGNEAU.

As a rule, I am rather critical of photographs, but this one, I think, conveys a pretty good idea of the merit of this portrait.

May I also take advantage of this letter to return to you the catalogue of the Winslow Ames collection which indeed held my attention, for as you write it shows his sophisticated taste.

Do let me tell you anew how very happy I am at your decision to acquire this truly remarkable drawings.

With personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
