ODD NOTES

Herewith a catalogue of AGNEW'S this year's Spring exhibition.

And catalogue of the BORDEAUX Exhibition - "L'Art et la Musique", May-September 1969. On page 7 you will find - #12 - mention of our painting "Le Festin des Dieux" - School of Fontainebleau. This indication is to be entered in our catalogue, as usual.

Similarly, from the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN MUSEUM, Ann Arbor, catalogue of the exhibition "The World of Voltaire" - March-May 1969. On page 41, #88, you will find our painting by J.B. DESHAYS - "The Plague at Athens", which will also have to be added to the description of the painting.

Then, from the Minneapolis Institute of Art, catalogue of the exhibition "The Past Rediscovered - French Paintings 1800-1900" you will find #3 - our painting "Retreat from Moscow", by BOISSARD de Boisdenier, which is from our private collection, and this information will have to be added to the description in our catalogue.

This catalogue also contains biographical data on lesser known and neglected artists of that period.

ART NEWS: September 1969, p.59 - An article referring to the Venice exhibition "From Ricci to Tiepolo", revealing the importance of a hardly known artist: BENCOVICH, very close, in many ways, to PIAZZETTA.

Will you inquire about the price of this catalogue and whether we could have it on consignment to see of how much interest it would be to us.

On page 75, an extremely important note about the CONTINI-BONACOSSI collection now for sale in Florence. I want this article cut out and carefully saved.

Also to be added to the catalogue of the Private Collection, that the drawing by CALLOT - "The Miracle of Saint-Mansuetus" was included in the Boston Museum exhibition "Drawings from Stockholm", as an addendum, but not catalogued.

Catalogue of the WELLINGTON MUSEUM, in which, on plate 47 you will find a painting by PEYRON.

* MORE FROM ART NEWS: MRS. PARKER and MR. PORJES. On page 74 is advertised a firm that makes display cases and probably similar nick-nacks of that type which we should make a note of: DECRO INC., AN 99, c/o ARTnews, 444 Madison Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10022
