General:

I have the honor to inform you that since my letter to you of a recent date, stating my willingness to remain in the Bureau as a civilian agent, I have found it necessary from imperative duties of a private nature, to discontinue my duties as a Bureau Agent.

I have, in compliance with orders from your Headquarters turned over the records of the Office to Lieut A. R. Egbert and enclose herewith his receipt for the same.

My address for the next few months will be Alexandria Va.
