In order to prevent delay, and supply the increased demands of the suffering destitute at the earliest possible moment, it became necessary to enlarge the buildings now in use; and provide greater facilities for ingress and egress to and from the same, and to provide for the comfort. and shelter from the inclement weather, of those making application for assistance. The work has been prosecuted with and energy, and no pains have been spared to perfect and carry out the necessary changes. For the comfort of those making application for assistance; two buildings twenty by fifty feet each are in process of erection and nearly completed.
