As my District comprises the States of Eastern

and Western Virginia, styled the Department of the Potomac, I would respectfully ask to be informed whether my functions as Asst. Comr extend over the State of Western Virginia, the upper portion of the Shenandoah Valley, and the Counties of Loudon and Fairfax? if so, please inform me of the names and stations of the Officers of the Bureau in the places above mentioned. -
