I have the honor to request that the appointment of O.P. Randall as a Clerk, in this Bureau be revoked to date April 30, 1868, and that S.M. De Lamater, be appointed a Clerk in his stead at a salary of $80 per month, to date from May 1, 1868.

A communication of J.J. De Lamater, Surg, in Chf. dated April 30th 1868, requesting the above change was forwarded to Washington on the 30th ultimo, both from endorsement of the Comr, dated May 14th 1868, an communication of the Asst. Comr. making enquiries regarding the above named communication, it appears not to have been received.

I have the honor to inform you that 1st Lieut. Geo. P. Sherwood, 42. U.S.I., has been relieved from duty in this Bureau, as A.S.A.C., and that his services are no longer required for Bureau duty in this State.

The commanding General of this District desires to retain Lieut. Sherwood as Mil. Comr of the Division now under his charge.
