General,
I have the honor to inform you that the Steamer "Weybassett" has been ordered to take 300 soldiers of the 25th A.C. from Hampton Hospital to Texas.

She will sail on the 2d of August, and can transport the 45 women & 46 children (wives and children of Colored soldiers) if in readiness. 

Please notify this Office if this proposition is accepted, in order that transportation may be provided at proper time for these women and children, from Richmond to Hampton Roads.
