I have visited City Point & Bermuda Hundred today with a view of putting the Shingle Mill in Operation-  The first trouble is in obtaining an Engineer-  Shall have to wait till one is detailed. Will obtain one immediately  

It will be necessary to have trains.

I enclose requisition for the same herewith.  Also for trains necessary for the work on the timber in Chesterfield County. which I have made requisition on Col Loomis for.   

Capt Dunton A.Q.M. City Point will issue transportation on your approval-  

Please return requisition by return mail if possible
