I have the honor to report my arrival at this place and assumption of the duties required by your order assigning to me the superintendures of the Sixth District Va Head Quarters at Staunton Va.

The regular reports will be made in accordance with the order already named, and as mail communications by rail road is now established I desire the reception of all orders relating to the Bureau as soon as they may be furnished. The blank contracts and agreements are especially needed for present [ms?]]
