Superintendents Office F. B.
Lynchburgh Va
July 13th 1865

Col O Brown
Assistant Commissioner

Colonel

If the Freedmans Bureau cannot furnish printed blanks on which to take the Census required by my orders, it will be necessary for me to draw on you for large cap or folio post paper on which I may rule the desired blanks. Ordinary cap is not large enough. You are aware that an immense labor will be required to rule the blanks required for my district and I trust that the Bureau can furnish them printed. The census will be expedited thereby as well as placed in better shape. I can draw no Stationery here beyond a small amount sufficient for immediate use, and must therefore rely on drawing from Richmond Can you not arrange so that I may receive my supplies from Richmond direct by requisition or on transfer
