Esq Thomas Tabb has just been in and informed me that Mr B. F. Hodgin or has petition  I returned this morning with an [[strikethrough]] endorsement [[/strikethrough]] unfavorable endorsement  is not the man described but is a brother  therefore I wish to withdraw all I said against him & I very much regret what I said
