U.S. Military Telegraph

By Telegraph from Q M's Ofs Fort Monroe
To Cap. O. Brown
A.Q.M. Asst. Comr. &c

Strenuous efforts are being made, and apparently with some prospect of success, by Baker Lee to obtain ths property on which he resided before the war, and from which this Dept is supplying itself with lumber. Two saw mills are now, and have been for a year and a half, cutting from it. It would perhaps be well for you to look into the matter at once.
