In compliance with your telegram I have the honor to report that there are in the second dist of the Peninsula forty three, families of colored soldiers belonging to the 25 A.C. consisting of 45 women & 46 children, who desire to be sent to join their corps in Texas, Asst. Supt of Negro affairs reports that in their opinion when they start others will wish to go. 

Most families of colored soldiers support themselves in the sub dist of Eastern shore - 4 families have reported to join their husbands going to Texas, in the 25 corps
